Surf Expo, Orlando Florida

I just got home from the Surf Expo in Orlando, Fl.  It’s a huge surf industry trade show with all the latest new products being highlighted.  I flew to Florida with my friend Talia (a very talented SUP paddler) from here and we met Ben, my manager and hers, there.  It was a really fun event and it was great to meet up with friends like Danny Ching and Chuck Patterson who were also attending, just to name a few.  Thanks to the whole Maui Jim crew for a great time.  They sponsored the SUP pool where people could try out boards and paddle around a bit.  After the trade show we flew back to California where I met up with the SUP Co. crew for a paddle out at Dana Point.  Paddling with Jamie and her friends was great and thanks to Dave Boehne and the Infinity gang for the transportation.  After the paddle  we came in for a delicious breakfast cooked by Mama C…her pancakes were awesome!  Then it was time to head back to the airport and get home.  The flight was a bumpy mess and sure enough the next few days at home were stormy and rainy with thunder, lightning and flooding all over the state.  But the last few days have been beautiful and I was happy to get back on the outrigger and a swell arrived with some nice waves.  Its always nice to get back in the warm hawaiian waters and see everyone.  And another swell coming tomorrow, what more could you ask for?  Aloha, ST
